Ban Tail Docking on Dogs in Ireland

A vet told me its a dogs smile. And asked would you like all your teeth taken out? (best way of putting it)

Totally unnecessary cruel action

For god sake! We are not living in Dickensian times... It's 2013? Am I really having to sign a petition regarding this subject!! Docking of tails in dogs is an obvious display of abuse to dogs... End of. Can the idiotic ' Bill Sykes' in government who is trying to pass such a cruel and unnecessary practice please step down..... Your obviously not up to speed for the job I am paying you to do.... It's 2013!

Recently had a litter of boxer puppies and didn't get the tails docked, it's not only cruel but the dogs look better with tails.

So sad we need to petition for this, should be against the law for anyone to harm any animal. I really hope its put into law. Just because animals cant talk some people think the have no feelings either!

I always say to those that don't agree with me, "well would you like your wee toe cut off? of course you wouldn't, it's one of the more pathetic reasons people have for how a dog should look like in my opinion.

That's just awful, the guy that looked after the dogs for Craigavon council wouldn't give now my wee JRT because they wanted to dock her tail. What is wrong with these people!!
