Ban Tail Docking on Dogs in Ireland

Are you bluddy joking? WTF! What an act of bastardery. In this modern world Ireland is going backwards.

As someone who has bred pedigree dogs,I regard this practise as barbaric and utterly senseless and I was so happy to take this stand a number of years ago. Contrary to popular belief at the time,we had no difficulty finding wonderful new owners for our beautiful long tailed cocker spaniel puppies.I find it incredible and so sad that this situation has arisen. Its time to WAKE UP AND STAND UP!

Hopefully this petition will wake up people put some pressure on the politicians. I despair at the cruelty that is allowed in Ireland.

Although a worthy cause, can anyone tell me which section of the act that this barbaric act refers, I am unable to find it having read the act.

I assume whoever set up this petition, can point me to the exact section of the act that will allow this practice

This cant be allowed happen, its cruel and barbaric!!

This is quite disturbing, are you allowed to go around cutting bits of humans, its disgusting, if a dog wasn't meant to have a tail then it wouldn't be born with it, how dare anyone have the right to make the decision to remove it then

as a veterinary nurse I have seen first hand the effects of the public trying to dock dogs and it is barbaric and very painful for the puppies. docking should be banned.
